What is Project Hunger - Manor Texas?

Project Hunger is an effort to increase the capacity of local food pantries, in an effort to decrease the number of families experiencing food insecurity (when people don't have enough to eat and don't know where their next meal will come from) in Manor, Texas. According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and US Census data it is estimated that 1,427 families in Major are experiencing some amount of food insecurity.

Project Hunger’s goal for 2025 is to get more people more food that they need. One metric we strive toward reaching, is to put an additional 12,000 cans/boxes of food into the system. We are also looking for ways to increase capacity by expanding food distribution days, times and sites, and helping to coordinate all food distribution efforts to better serve families in need.
